Hospital Professionals

Administrators, physicians, nurses, chaplains and other healthcare professionals have crucial roles in the organ and tissue donation process. Timely referral of patients to LifeSource for donor assessment is a critical first step in the donation process. When donation potential is confirmed, LifeSource works collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop appropriate communication plans, support families, maximize donation gifts, and ultimately provide organ and tissue transplants for those in need.

At each of the hospitals in our donation service area, our Hospital Liaisons work with hospital professionals to develop and maintain hospital policies and protocols, analyze data, provide education on the donation process, and conduct follow-up for donation opportunities.
